Second video of my horror themed game in production. This time i'm mostly showing off the AI's ability to find the quickest path to reach you. Also a little bit of combat!

The magical purple glowy thing acts like a wall - so when the player uses the weird glyph stone, the wall moves, and the AI has to work out an alternative route to reach the hero.

The hero's graphics are more finished, though not quite complete. The level background is again placeholder, as is the inventory screen. And I should stress that the game will not involve anything so cheesy as clones - the enemy in this video is just a clone because it saved me having to draw a monster just for a tech video

This is my current work in progress. A horror adventure with gameplay inspired by Flashback and 1213.
The graphics are placeholder graphics just for this demo, and things will look much better with some actual effort put in Early days!

As may be obvious the game mentioned in the previous post went nowhere fast. The competition is now over. I'm working on my next game of awesomeness and might have a video of it out in a week or so, maybe!?

Looks like Playbasic is holding a competition! It's called "Heroes Quest" and the object is to make a platfoming game with a hero in the style of Indiana Jones/Lara Croft. Sounds like fun. I hope to create an entry

PPZ3 will be out this month unless my house catches fire or my laptop is stolen or something.
Here is a little behind the scenes picture! My horribly messy workspace! Actually, this picture was taken over a year ago... now that i'm using the laptop everything is much more neat you can see the wall has lots of paper tacked to it, those sheets all contain notes with important variable numbers and things. I have pringles for nourishment!

That shows you the "headwear" items that are available fairly early on, with the padlocks representing all the items still to unlock - quite a lot to uncover! There's a few things to be fixed of course, like those numbers lying around the screen for debug purposes... ignore those right now
